In a world of disposable goods, fast fashion, and fast food, it's hard to know which products are sustainable and which have been “greenwashed.” At Bluedot, we do the legwork for you by selecting options that meet our editors' high standards for sustainable materials or ingredients, eco-friendly packaging, fair labor practices, and overall regard for the planet and its people. These products aren’t perfect (consumption, after all, has a cost to the planet). But they are better, leading us to our pledge: Buy less, but when you do buy — buy better.

Cuyana Apparel

Founded on the principle of “fewer, better,” Cuyana makes classically elegant, evergreen garments and accessories that you can keep forever. This female-founded, New York-based brand has committed to using only sustainable materials from 2023 forward, and they’re already 99% of the way there.

Numi Teas

It’s all about “communitea” for siblings Ahmed Rahim and Reem Hassani, who co-founded Numi Tea in 1999 to share the healing power of tea. We love this B Corp because they make fabulous tea and because they truly embody conscious capitalism. All of their teas are USDA Organic, Fair Trade or Verified Labor Certified.

EarthHero Kitchen Goods

EarthHero is one of those companies that seems to do just about everything right, so we love buying from this eclectic marketplace of thoughtfully vetted goods. Like Bluedot, they’re a member of 1% for the Planet, as well as a certified B Corp and a Climate Neutral Certified organization. They carry a variety of great kitchen essentials.

Teeccino Teas and Herbal Beverages

A number of us at Bluedot love Teeccino, whose bold, caffeine-free teas and herbal drinks still have enough oomph to please coffee drinkers. We also love that the company supports rainforest preservation and a number of environmental nonprofits. Read more about Teeccino founder Caroline MacDougall here.
