Lately, tariffs have been the talk of the town. From toys and tech to wine and wool, market experts are expecting prices on products imported to the U.S. to increase significantly as new tariffs go into effect. At Bluedot, we are proponents of shopping local whenever possible. Reducing the distance that a product needs to travel before getting into your hands is a simple way to reduce your overall carbon impact. While the world is complicated and there are many factors to consider when trying to shop sustainably, seeking out products that are made in America can be as good a place as any to start.

With Independence Day on the horizon, we’re reflecting on all of the things that make America beautiful, from sea to shining sea, and celebrating folks who are making a wide range of thoughtful, sustainable products across our 50 states.
