Sokol Blosser Vineyard
While wine itself is biodegradable, producing all those reds, whites, and rosés is rarely green. We’re big fans of Sokol Blosser, one of the older wineries in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, because they have been focused on sustainability since they planted their first grapes in the 1970s. This second-generation, family-run vineyard is USDA-Certified Organic, Certified Salmon-Safe, and mostly solar- and wind-powered. Their cellar was the world’s first to be LEED-certified. Lighter glass bottles, recycled paper labels, and FSC-certified wood crates show the care this B. Corp has put into every aspect of production. Sokol Blosser’s wines also taste great. As with any Willamette Valley vintner, the Pinot Noir is a standout. We also recommend the Bluebird Cuvée Brut as a standout sparkler to serve with caviar on any special occasion. Cheers!
