The Tartan Blanket Co (TBCo) weaves natural and recycled fibers into gorgeous blankets, apparel, and bedding that “add the finishing touch to your outfit or home.” Company founder Emma Macdonald, an Edinburgh native and fashion industry veteran, launched TBCo in 2014 when she had a hard time finding sustainable, attractive home textiles. Now a Certified B Corp, the brand makes throws and blankets in an array of patterns and colors to suit every taste. Made from 70% recycled wool and 30% mixed fibers diverted from landfills, the signature Recycled Wool Blankets come in three sizes and can be monogrammed. They’re also machine-washable. In addition to blankets, TBCo offers scarves, hats, gloves, and socks for adults and children. The brand donates to social and environmental causes with each purchase, totaling over £400,000 to date.
