GOWANUS — The Environmental Protection Agency and its Community Advisory Group will visit Gowanus, Brooklyn, on Monday to discuss air monitoring around the eight-million-gallon combined sewer overflow retention tank currently under construction at the Gowanus Canal Superfund Site, according to community organization Voice of Gowanus. Residents have complained of odors and expressed worries about fumes since work began.

The event takes place Monday, Feb. 10 from 6-8 p.m. both outside and inside Evalyn’s Tap House, 236 Butler St. at the corner of Nevins Street.

There will be tours of the EPA’s TAGA (Trace Atmospheric Gas Analyzer) Bus — one of only two in the country — which is being deployed in the community for air monitoring.
