You paid a lot for that beautiful Christmas tree — now turn it into mulch! The Parks Department lists 24 locations in Brooklyn, with most in Western Brooklyn, where you can drop off your tree between Dec. 26 and Jan. 12. A special Chipping Weekend takes place on Saturday, Jan. 11 and Sunday, Jan. 12, when you can take home a “tree-mento” and some free mulch. Please remember to remove all lights, ornaments, and netting before bringing in the tree.
