RECIPE: Maple Sweet Carrots


  • 35 medium carrots
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt


  1. Preheat Oven to 375°F. 
  2. Slice carrots in ½-inch rounds (or on the diagonal, or even lengthwise, if you prefer. For fun, you can imprint rounds with a small cookie cutter.)
  3. Add a pinch of salt to a half a cup of maple syrup in a large ziploc bag. Add carrots and shake well. Let marinade for 10 minutes or overnight.
  4. Spread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 30‒35 minutes or until carrots are caramelized. 


Pro tip: You can add ¼ cup soy sauce and spices like garlic, ginger and/or pepper to taste to add a savory-sweet element to the marinade.
