The 7 Virtues Perfume

The 7 Virtues makes perfume with a purpose. The Canadian company’s founder, Barb Stegemann, carefully sources essential oils from conflict areas around the world. By compensating the farmers and distillers fairly, she helps them, their families, and their employees rebuild their livelihoods and communities. The oils come from countries including Afghanistan, Haiti, Rwanda, and Egypt. Stegemann first began operating out of her garage in 2010, and her perfumes have always been affordable, hypoallergenic, vegan, and free from phthalates, parabens, and formaldehydes. The sustainable perfume company is now PETA- and Leaping Bunny Certified vegan and cruelty-free, a Certified B Corporation, and available at Sephora in 18 countries. Bluedot’s advice columnist, Dear Dot, favors this fragrance brand above all others. Dot loves Vanilla Woods and Lotus Pear, while our Marketplace Editor’s sister is partial to the newest scent, Cherry Ambition
