Christy Dawn’s dreamy, “farm-to-closet” dresses have many fans here at Bluedot. One editor enthuses that “their easy-breezy, super feminine clothes just make you feel like a girl,” while another says “I just love the romantic, vintage-inspired designs.” The Los Angeles-based brand works with a partner farm in India, where they grow regenerative cotton. The signature style comes not just from the sketchbook, but from the processes as well. Christy Dawn uses the old-fashioned method of block-printing fabric using vegetable dyes, and employs a number of dressmakers to create each collection. In addition to dresses, the brand offers slips, separates, shoes, and a small bridal collection, as well as a collection of sweaters and outerwear woven from the wool of alpacas raised on regenerative land.
