RECIPE: Maple Cream Soda

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12‒24 ounces sparkling water

Instructions

  1. Mix maple syrup, flat water and vanilla extract in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and cook for a minute.
  2. Remove from heat and let rest for an hour and a half, until cooled.
  3. Add 3 tablespoons of syrup to 7 ounces of sparkling water. Serve over ice if desired.

Notes

Pro tip: you can reserve leftover syrup as a simple syrup or use it on pancakes.
