We are always looking for writers to share stories of what’s happening in their communities – the changemakers, innovations, policy shifts, and so on. The stories that may not bubble up to the NY Times or The Guardian but that we should all know about. We’ve covered a lady who dresses up like a whooping crane to reintroduce that endangered species in Louisiana; a guy who started a photovoltaic farm in Boulder County, Colorado; a neighborhood in New York state that banded together to preserve a local forest, and much more. We pay $175 for roughly 400 - 600 words (plus a few photos — either provided by source or taken on phone is fine). We’re a young, small company with loads of enthusiasm that is punching way above its weight. We have a wide-reaching "Hub" newsletter, as well as location-specific newsletters in Martha’s Vineyard and Brooklyn. We will be adding more locations in the near future.
